1. Design and Estimate Visit us and bring the measurements of your existing countertops or schedule an appointment to have us do it for you! We will take your existing countertop or future cabinet dimensions and use these to help our designer price and plan your new countertops. They will listen to understand your vision and preferences and help you to find the right materials to suit your aesthetic and functional preferences for color, texture, and edge while helping to educate you on the strengths and drawbacks of the different materials options. Our designers will take this information to build a proposal that we can generally deliver same or next day depending on the scope of the project. There is no pressure in our sales process and we are happy to work with you on changes of scope or budget.
2. Contract and Template
Once you have accepted the the design and proposal we will present you with a work contract and ask that you place a deposit to cover the cost of the materials and fabrication of your project. At this point our designer will schedule a convenient time with you for us to create a Template. The Template is a precise measurement of your cabinets and walls using our state of the art laser templating tool and will line out sink, faucet, and stove placement to ensure an accurate fit of your new countertops. If not purchasing sinks through World Wide Granite you should have your sinks purchased and on location at the time of the template. We ask our customers to be on site as the the template technician will confirm design details, seam, sink, and faucet placement, and discuss any unforeseen design or installation challenges. If changes are required or requested you will have the opportunity to review an changes and approve prior to us moving forward with the project. Unlike in the past or when working with other companies, there is typically NO NEED to remove your existing countertops during this process.
3. Fabrication
Once you have reviewed the final template with the template technician, we move forward with our fabrication process. The template is digitized using a CAD program and our CNC machine will mill and cut your new countertops from the slabs of material you have selected. From there our team of fabricators will start work forming and polishing your edge profiles to complete the pieces for the final kitchen.
4. Tear Out and Final Installation
Typically removal of your existing counters and installation of your new counters can take place in the same day. However we do ask that you have your plumbing disconnected and any interfering appliances moved out of the way for our team. Our installation team will arrive at your location within an hour or less of the indicated appointment time and will work to remove your exiting countertops. We haul away any dispose of debris and will secure and seam your new tops using industry standard guidelines. Once the seams have been set and the tops secured, we will secure and fix your sinks in place ready for the plumber to plumb in faucets and drain lines. The installation supervisor will then review our quality check list with you, and make any adjustments necessary.
